This is the definition of an easy recipe. In fact it more a set of directions than a recipe, but good none-the-less. This is the most delicious corn I have ever eaten, I think you will agree.
You will need
4 ears of sweet corn, leave the husks on
3 tablespoons of melted and cooled butter
3 tablespoons of Lucille’s Favorite Barbecue Rub
Prepare the corn by carefully pulling the husk down to expose the corn fully. Remove silk strands as best you can and wash. Don’t worry too much if you don’t get all the silk they will burn off quickly on the grill. Brush the butter on corn making sure to completely coat it. Next, sprinkle on some of Lucille’s Favorite Barbecue Rub to coat thoroughly. Don’t be shy, make sure to fully coat it. Follow these steps to prep each ear of corn and go get that grill ready to go.
This is a direct heat recipe so all you need to do is get your grill going and make sure your coals are hot. Once your grill is hot and ready to go, dip the corn husks in to the water to get them wet, (be careful not to get the corn wet as it will ruin all of your previous work.) Place the corn on the grill and close the lid. If your grill doesn’t have a lid it will do just fine, just watch it to make sure it doesn’t burn. Check on the corn every few minutes and turn it to make sure you get those wonderful char marks on all its sides. This takes about 10 minutes on most grills but it may go a little faster or slower depending on your fire’s heat.
Remove from the grill once the char is sufficient and let it cool a couple of minutes so you won’t burn your face. Now eat! What did I tell you, this is the most delicious corn you will ever eat.
